The murder of 3 little girls attending a ‘Taylor Swift’ themed party rightly shocked the UK.
This week, more of the facts around the case emerged as the killer pleaded guilty to all the offences he was charged with.
As is often the case, he was a troubled young man, arguably let down by a system designed to protect him as much as it protected the community. That system failed.
In this video, I share my thoughts on the case using only the open-source material published and seek to understand whether this murderous attack could have been prevented using the behavioural threat assessment and management system that Defuse Global leads in the UK.
It is important to note that I do not have all the facts, and my thoughts are in no way a criticism of any professional involved in this case. My concerns are with the systems and methodology we employ. In this short video, I review the case of Southport triple killer Axel Rudakubana when applying the methodology of behavioural threat assessment and management.
